Originally created for Transport for NSW as part of the Sydney Light Rail activation program, the Pillars are a series of eighteen, internally illuminated and highly customisable 2.4m high artworks. Designed to be either clad around standard city smart pole infrastructure or stand alone on custom-made concrete ballasts, the pillars can be branded in an infinite number of ways, backlit by 144 pixels of individually controllable LED lights. Attachments for the tops of each pillar can include moving lights or sculptural elements, and interactive control options are also available.
